Prayssac (France) - from 5 to July 12, 2025

From 5 to 12 July 2025, during the 19th European Week of the UECT, cycle tourists from all over Europe will be welcomed at Prayssac town of 2,460 inhabitants located 25 km west of Cahors

Prayssac (107 metres above sea level) is situated on the banks of the River Lot, in one of its magnificent meanders, covering 2,400 hectares in the centre of the CAHORS vineyards, a wine with a prestigious past and spearhead of the région's economy.

In a few words, the Lot Valley, a region in the heart of the Quercy region, rich in discoveries of all kinds, where heritage, bastides, traditions and modernity complement each other in a region that combines cycling with gastronomy and wine with character.

The climat is oceanic, with temperate summers and average summer temperatures of around 20°C to 27°C in July. Weather forecat Prayssac.

The réception will be from Friday, July 4, 2025 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Sports Complex.

As far as accommodation is concerned, the possibilities :

A fédéral UECT campsite in 6 separate spaces for motorhomes/caravans and canvas tents it will not be possible to cohabit motorhomes / caravans and tents.

5 motorhome/caravan zones are planned on the outskirts of the city (grassy soil on meadows and gravel).
1 canvas tents camping zone is planned within the Sports Complex (grassy ground and gravel).
the paid supply (on reservation) of individual electrical connections in very limited number will be possible only in 2 zones area camping sites.
for owners of electric bikes, the (paying) recharge of the batteries will be possible at a single fixed point within the Sports Complex.
for the catering (on reservation) provided by the UECT :
- breakfasts at the sports complex
- dinners in various town squares.

The road bike routes are being studied/developed, according to the specifications it is planned :

A discovery trail of 80 km on Saturday and 60 km Sunday afternoon
Monday to Friday every day 50 - 80 -120 km.
We'll be in a region of valleys and hills, with circuits with gradients accessible to all trained cyclists.
The different cycling routes will be online in March 2025 on our website à European Week, after bicycle recognition and authorizations from local authorities.

For accompanying, the program of visits will focus exclusively on tourist sites with the accompaniment of French and English speaking guides.

Update on 20 March 2024

Selon l'article 5 des statuts :

5.1	Peuvent devenir membres de l'UECT les groupements d'associations ou les fédérations, qui se vouent aux buts définis par les présents statuts qui ont leur siège en Europe.
5.2	Peuvent devenir membres, en priorité, les fédérations se dévouant exclusivement au cyclotourisme.
5.3	Peuvent devenir membres, des fédérations ou des associations mixtes ayant une section cyclotourisme, s'il n'y a pas de fédération de cyclotourisme créée dans leur pays.
5.4	La qualité de membre selon les paragraphes 1, 2 et 3 exige une demande d'adhésion écrite préalable. L'Assemblée Générale décide de cette demande après examen du Comité Directeur.
5.5	La qualité de membre de l'UECT se perd : - Lors de la dissolution juridique de la structure membre. - Par déclaration de retrait à présenter au président; elle ne peut être effective que pour la fin de l'année civile. De plus elle doit parvenir au président au plus tard 30 jours avant l'assemblée générale annuelle. - Par radiation prononcée dans les conditions fixées par le règlement intérieur pour non-paiement des cotisations ou tout motif grave comme le non-respect des buts de l'UECT. La radiation est décidée par l'Assemblée Générale.
